Making waves

Did you ever notice that no matter how much he might want to, a surfer can't make waves? Only God can. This isn't my original idea, but I can't remember who it belonged to. All a surfer can do is ride the wave that God makes. He can set himself up to be able to ride the wave. We as church leaders are like the surfer. We can't create a revival, but we can be ready for one! God's Holy Spirit draws people to repentance, but we can share Him with them, live a godly life in front of them, show them the love of Jesus Christ...These things don't save anyone but they do create a place where we are ready to ride the wave when God sends it.
